Brian Bolland's Wonder Woman

Based on Brian Bolland's Wonder Woman cover #72. I looked at a lot of Bolland's work to try and get a sense of his style and familiarize myself with his keynotes. Brian was asked to supply additional views and to design a back for the statue. We got a front view and a note saying he really didn't have anything for the back. Georg Brewer and I discussed some options and agreed that it might be cool to carry the skull concept through to the reverse. As long as I could align the back elements with what was visible from front, I could do what I wanted. It was the most complicated piece I'd done for DCD to that time. Trying to get the collection of spears to work as a separate part and still have them integrate into the skulls was quite a challenge. This statue remains one of my personal favorite.
